Future
The Advantages of our Vehicles
The Slider is the ideal means of transport for areas and countries whose topographies are characterised by large plains, such as Australia, Canada, China, Russia and many others, as the Slider can connect rivers, lakes and land like no other vehicle.
Our vehicles make it possible to build infrastructures quickly and cost-effectively; ideally, 100 kilometres of road can be covered in just one hour. Another remarkable advantage is the simple and inexpensive maintenance of the routes, whereas roads have to be constantly repaired, rail networks being even more expensive.
Furthermore, the Slider ensures that regular services do not have to be cancelled even in the event of flooding. As a result of climate change, more and more rivers around the world are flooding, for example in the vast Amazon region, leading to considerable supply bottlenecks and an increase in the cost of goods. The Slider is the ideal solution to this problem, as the vehicle can travel even at the lowest water levels and, if necessary, over land.
Emergent Markets and Developing Countries
The german slider is a great opportunity for emerging and developing countries. Thanks to its flexibility and efficiency, its speed and the resulting much shorter transport times, it is ideal for opening up rural regions in the shortest possible time.
In many African countries, for example, the fertile regions are often 100 kilometres or more away from the major cities, making it almost impossible to cultivate these areas in any meaningful way, as transport takes too long and the routes are too dangerous.
This problem can be solved by using the Slider, which would create new production sites and ensure faster transport to the metropolitan markets. This would be beneficial to creating new jobs, a better supply situation and a certain level of prosperity, while at the same time reducing migration to the cities.
The Blue Riband
german slider GmbH is also pursuing another plan for the near future. We want to win the Blue Riband with our experienced partner team.
The Blue Riband – also known as the Blue Riband of the Atlantic – is an award given for the fastest transatlantic crossing of a ship for paying passengers, from Europe to New York or vice versa.
The award has been officially presented since 1935, for which the British Member of Parliament Harold K. Hales donated the North Atlantic Blue Riband Challenge Trophy, a silver statuette measuring 1.20 metres high and weighing 46 kg. In addition, official start and finish locations and routes were defined. The Blue Riband is one of the most prestigious honours in the entire maritime industry and was last awarded in 1998.
The 45m-Slider
With its enormous speed of 220 km/h and more and its minimal fuel consumption, our 45m-Slider is predestined to successfully compete for the Blue Riband and set new records.
As the development of a new transatlantic connection with our ground-effect vehicles is already part of our long-term plans for the future, winning the Blue Riband would be like an initial spark and would not only give this project a considerable boost, but also the german slider project as a whole, as this would be recognised by a global public.
